“We have all been overindulgent caterpillars, quarantined and isolated, now ready to be birthed anew.” - Kay Corpus, M.D.
If you’re anything like me, you saw incredible moments amidst the challenges we’ve faced over the past two years. Even through quarantine and isolation, we were given wonderful opportunities for change and transformation in our lives. Whether in ourselves or in our business, we have journeyed through the lifecycle like the caterpillar-cocoon-butterfly.
We have undergone a creative metamorphosis in our souls—a new calling to utilize our imaginations and recognize our creative potential once again. This has helped us transform ourselves, our business, and our environment into a more sustainable and authentic realm in which we reside.
Through this evolution of creativity, I discovered that the next step in helping my functional medicine patients was to create an innovative space for a variety of natural movement practices. I feel that I’ve been given an opportunity to create a place of personal growth, healing, collaboration, and a vessel of service to the community. We are excited to expand our horizons at Soul of Medicine—changing the name of our studio from “The Yoga Loft” to "The Loft."
The Loft is a manifestation of a dream. We intend to provide foundational teachings for longevity and real-world capabilities in order to help you gain strength, prevent injury, and age gracefully. At The Loft, we’re offering a diverse array of classes that include yoga, meditation, functional movement, MovNat, Roll Model Method, and earthing practices. All of our classes will be available in multi-week series throughout the year.
“It’s time to move out of the dark and into the light. To heal. To commune. To serve. It’s time to take flight.” - Kay Corpus, M.D.
I hope that you will help us celebrate this opportunity by joining us on Saturday, January 1st, 2022 for our first class at The Loft. From 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m., we want to start the new year together by practicing mindfulness, natural movement, breathing techniques, and effectively utilizing the energy that flows through and around us.
This donation-based class will help us provide support for our friends from Afghanistan. All proceeds will be matched and donated to two organizations whose mission is to help transform the lives of those in Afghan communities and create a sustainable future through healthcare, education, and economic initiatives:
Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, I invite you to join us in starting the new year by focusing on your wellness through movement, breath, and imagination—so you can be born anew in 2022. You may even learn how to redesign your practice, discover deeper meaning to your movement, or simply connect with a like-minded community.
If you’re interested, be sure to pre-register online, and follow us on social media so you can stay up to date with various class types and other events happening at The Loft.
This new year, I wish you prosperity in prioritizing your wellness and saying “yes” to the opportunities you need to grow. Let this be the year you nurture your body, mind, and soul to become the person that you are meant to be.
